Roles

By default, your Data Marketplace account will have the Data Explorer role. This allows you to search for and request data.

From your account profile, you can also request the:

  • Data Request Approver role to approve data requests on behalf of your organisation
  • Metadata Publisher role to publish listings for your organisation

These requests are managed by your organisation administrator. You will need to provide a reason why you need either role.

After submitting a request for one or both of these roles, you will receive:

  • a confirmation email
  • an email when your organisation administrator has approved or rejected your request

Organisation administrators

The Organisation Administrator role allows you to manage users in your team or department.

With this role you can:

  • approve or reject user requests for additional roles
  • revoke a user’s roles
